17-4PH is a precipitation-hardened martensitic stainless steel, used for pieces which require high mechanical strength, important resilience and also good fatigue resistance. This metal is remelted by using the ESR method in order to combine a good homogeneity and structural isotropy with excellent mechanical properties (longitudinal and transversal direction). 17-4 PH AISI 630 stainless steel is used in medical applications.
We supply 17-4 PH stainless-steel powder for metal additive manufacturing, especially for powder bed technologies in 3D printing (SLS, SLM, FDM, EBM…). These powders comply with ASTM A564, AMS 5643 UNS S17400, WNR 1.4548.
